Programming Instructions For OUC60221 OUC60270 Remote Key Fob

Important Notes Before You Start:

  • This procedure requires one working ignition key
  • Vehicles that are 2011 and up require an automotive locksmith or dealership programming

Procedure 1 - For Vehicles With Driver Information Center

  1. Ensure that all remotes expected to work for the vehicle are present. Any remotes that are not present will stop functioning until they are reprogrammed
  2. Insert the key in the ignition
  3. Turn the key to "ON" position (without cranking ignition)
  4. Press the vehicles information button until "press to relearn remote key" displays
  5. Press the set/reset button until "remote key learning active" display indicating that the vehicle is in learning mode
  6. Press and hold "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons at the same time for 15 seconds. The system will chime indicating that the remote is programmed
  7. Repeat step 6 for all additional remotes (You can program up to 8 remotes including existing remotes)
  8. To exit programming mode, turn the key to "OFF" position and remove it from the ignition
  9. Test all remotes. If any of the remotes did not program, then repeat the procedure from step 1

Procedure 2 - For Vehicles Without Driver Information Center

  1. Vehicle must be in Park "P"
  2. Insert the key in the ignition
  3. Turn the key to "ON" position (without cranking engine)
  4. Press the trip odometer reset button until "relearn remote key" displays
  5. Press and hold the trip odometer reset button for 3 seconds until "remote key learning active" displays
  6. Press and hold "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons and the same time for 15 seconds. The system will chime indicating that the remote is programmed
  7. Repeat step 6 for all additional remotes (You can program up to 8 remotes including existing remotes)
  8. To exit programming mode, turn the key to "OFF" position and remove it from the ignition
  9. Test all remotes. If any of the remotes did not program, then repeat the procedure from step 1
